Producer Prices Decline in September

Washington, DC, Oct. 15, 2014 -- Producer prices in the U.S. fell in September for the first time in more than a year, according to the Labor Department.

Prices fell 0.1 percent last month, the Labor Department said on Wednesday.

Much of the decline was caused by falling energy and food prices.

Year-over-year, producer prices were up 1.6%.
