Nourison To Acquire Hagaman Carpet

Saddlebrook, NJ, Jan. 12, 2015 -- Nourison said it is acquiring high-end wool flooring manufacturer Hagaman Carpet, based in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia.

The deal provides Nourison’s entry into U.S. manufacturing as well as a chance to upgrade its machine-tufting capabilities.

Nourison will operate Hagaman Carpet as a wholly owned subsidiary, and the product line will have a dedicated sales force. Vice President of Sales Gerard O’Keefe will oversee the division.

Nourison will manufacture products under the Hagaman Carpet name and include it in Nourison’s existing broadloom product portfolio, which includes Nourison Carpet, Nourtex Carpet and Nourison Hospitality.

“Hagaman’s specialized tufting equipment is well suited for making luxury wool carpet. It will allow us to create products and programs to complement Nourison’s existing lines, as well as expand and enhance the well-respected Hagaman brand in the upscale carpet market,” said Alex Peykar, principal, Nourison.
