Mortgage Rates Tick Up After Jobs Report

Washington, DC, Aug. 11, 2016 -- Interest rates on U.S. 30-year mortgages edged up after last week's strong July jobs report, mortgage finance agency Freddie Mac said on Thursday.

The average 30-year mortgage rate was 3.45 percent in the week ended Aug. 11, up from 3.43 percent in the previous week, Freddie Mac said in its latest rate survey.
