Mortgage Rates Hit Lowest Level in Over a Year

Washington, DC, Aug. 25, 2014 -- Mortgage rates last week fell to their lowest level in over a year, according to Freddie Mac.

The average rate for a 30-year loan was 4.1%, which was the lowest level since June 2013, when it stood at 3.93%. The average 15-year fixed was 3.23%.
