Mortgage Rates Hit 20-Month Low

Washington, DC, Feb. 6, 2015 -- Fixed mortgage interest rates this week hit their lowest level in more than 20 months, according to Freddie Mac.

Lenders were offering conventional 30-year fixed-rate loans at an average of 3.59%, down from 3.66% a week ago.

The average rate for a 15-year loan fell to 2.92% from 2.98% last week, Freddie Mac said.
