Lumber Liquidators' Investor Files Lawsuit

Newport News, VA, Dec. 3, 2013 -- A Lumber Liquidators shareholder has filed a class action lawsuit against the firm, according to the Virginian-Pilot newspaper.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court, contends that company executives made false and misleading statements regarding the sourcing of wood for the company's products.

Lumber Liquidators was searched this fall by federal authorities seeking evidence that the company violated the Lacey Act by importing illegally harvested wood.

The company released a statement saying it was cooperating with the government.
