Little Sign of Wholesale Inflation in July

Washington, DC, Aug. 14, 2013 -- Declining energy prices tamped down wholesale inflation in July, according to the Labor Department.

The government said that wholesale prices showed no change last month compared with June, when they rose 0.8%. 

Energy costs fell 0.2%, as gasoline prices dropped 0.8%, and natural gas costs fell 3.9%.

Excluding food and energy costs, core prices rose 0.2%.
