Viken, Sweden, July 6, 2012 -- Välinge Photocat AB, a joint venture between Välinge Innovation AB of Sweden and Photocat AS of Denmark, has signed an exclusive license agreement with Lauzon Hardwood Flooring Group for its photocatalytic process technology named ACTiO2.
Lauzon will incorporate the ACTiO2 process in the manufacture of premium hardwood flooring.
The process reduces volatile organic compounds and inhibits the spread of bacteria.
The ACTiO2 will be embedded in Lauzon’s titanium finish and will remain active for the life of this proprietary surface coating, Valinge said.
Lauzon is the first hardwood manufacturer to secure a license for the technology.
Valinge also announced that Skema srl, a leading Italian manufacturer of laminate flooring, has decided to use its 5G-C and 5G-W locking systems.
