Jobless Claims Near Seven-Year Low
Washington, DC, April 10, 2014 -- Initial jobless claims fell sharply last week to the lowest level in almost seven years, according to the Labor Department.
Initial claims declined 32,000 to a seasonally adjusted 300,000 for the week ended April 5.
That was the lowest number since May 2007.
The four-week moving average fell to 316,250 last week.
