IIDA Announces Details for 2016 Advocacy Symposium

Denver, Colorado, October 15, 2015—The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) has announced that its second annual Advocacy Symposium will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Denver, Colorado on September 23 to 25, 2016.

Topics will include determining optimal advocacy strategy; how advocacy can increase the public understanding of the value of design; how to energize and mobilize colleagues and constituents; and connecting and engaging in dialogue with local and national government representatives.

“The 2015 Advocacy Symposium was an invigorating experience that brought together more than 90 attendees, speakers, and staff who highlighted the passion, dedication, and persistence of amazing design advocates from across the country,” said executive vice president and CEO Cheryl S. Durst. “We have no doubt that next year’s symposium will exceed our expectations as we take a deep dive into the strategies IIDA members can employ to educate the public and legislators about the impact commercial interior designers have on business, productivity, and worker health and welfare.”
