Home Renovation High Priority for Consumers, Survey Says

New York, NY, March 28, 2016 -- Nearly two out of three consumers say they are planning to renovate their homes, according to a new survey from LightStream, a division of SunTrust Bank.

According to the survey, about four in 10 plan to spend $5,000 or more, and another 22 percent plan to spend at least $10,000.

Overall remodeling spending is expected to rise 7.6 percent for the year ended September 2016, according to a January report from Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies.
