Home Prices Continue to Increase

Washington, DC, July 23, 2013 -- U.S. home prices continued to rise from April to May, with an increase of 0.7%, according to the Federal Housing Finance Authority.

Year over year prices rose 7.3% from May 2012.

The index is 11.2% below peak levels set in April 2007, but in line with the 2005 index.

Home prices in the East South Central division fell 1.5% in the most recent report, while prices rose 1.8% month-over-month in the South Atlantic division.
