Home Depot to Purchase Maintenance & Repair Product Supplier, Interline

Atlanta, GA, July 23, 2015—Home Depot has announced that it will buy Interline Brands, a supplier of maintenance and repair products, for $1.6 billion in cash.

Jacksonville, Florida based Interline Brands serves more than 175,000 customers in the commercial, multifamily housing and residential contractor markets and has a distribution network of more than 90 locations in the Canada, Puerto Rico and the United States, according to the New York Times, as well as a sales and support staff of 1,600.

Interline reported sales of $1.6 billion for the 2013 fiscal year.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed in Home Depot’s fiscal third quarter, which ends on November 1.
