Former Owner of LD Brinkman Purchases T&L Distributing

Houston, TX, January 4, 2016—T&L Distributing, LLP of Houston, Texas has been sold to Tom Karol, former owner of LD Brinkman of Dallas, Texas, effective December 29, 2015.

Sandy Thomas, current chairman of the board of T&L, LLP, will retain a minority stockholder position in the new T&L Distributing, LLP.

Karol owned LD Brinkman for ten years, until 1999 when he sold the business to Beaulieu of America. Karol is currently chairman of the board of Cornerstone Automation Systems, LLC in Frisco, Texas, near Dallas; the business has 140 employees in Frisco and manufactures and integrates turnkey automated fulfillment systems.           

Jeff Thomas, current president of T&L, will step down to pursue his interest in cattle ranching in central Texas.               

Bob Eady will become president of T&L Distributing, effective immediately, and Robert Smith will remain as controller of T&L Distributing, LLP.
