London, England, Nov. 30, 2012 -- Forbo Flooring Systems has launched ‘Back to the Floor’ – a new collection and recycling program in the UK for installation off-cuts of Forbo flooring products that will help participants save money.
Managed by resource recovery expert Axion Consulting, program collects and reprocesses smooth vinyl, cushioned vinyl, Marmoleum and Flotex installation off-cuts for recycling back into new Forbo products.
Back to the Floor will play a key part in Forbo’s plan to reduce its environmental impact by 25% by the end of 2015.
Organizers say the program will cost less than sending the scraps to a landfill.
Registered Back to the Floor participants will be provided with colour-coded polythene bags and bulk bags which can be collected from site, or dropped off at participating distributors, when filled with the specified materials.
