Factory Orders Edge Higher in July

Washington, DC, Sept. 2, 2010--Factory orders increased 0.1% in July, held down by declining orders for computers and machinery, the Commerce Department said Thursday.

Orders for durable goods rose 0.4% in July on higher aircraft orders. This was revised up from the 0.3% gain estimated a week ago.
