Dixie Group Sells Carousel Carpet to White Oak

Chattanooga, TN, Jan. 2, 2015 -- The Dixie Group has sold premium custom carpet maker Carousel Carpet to White Oak Custom Carpet of Wichita, Kansas.

Dixie purchased Carousel in July 2013 as part of its acquisition of Robertex Associates Inc., a manufacturer of tufted wool carpets.

Carousel had been acquired by Robertex in 2010. At that time, Robertex, moved the equipment and operations from California to Georgia.

According to Aaron Pirner, CEO of White Oak, "in addition to buying the brand, this acquistion also includes tufing equipment and other tufting related equipment that we plan to use to support the rapid growth of White Oak's expanding business."
