Cyber Monday Sales Surpass Expectations

New York, NY, December 2, 2015—Cyber Monday’s sales rose 16% over last year to $3.07 billion, according to Adobe’s Digital Index.

This surpassed Adobe’s projection for the day, which was 12% above 2015 or $3 billion.

Adobe tracks sales at the top 100 U.S. retailers.

Mobile sales, those made from a smartphone or tablet, hit a record level at $799 million.

RetailNext estimates that Black Friday weekend sales were down 4.7%, while ShopperTrack figures showed them down 10.4%. Some analysts believe this decline is a result of retailers rolling out Black Friday sales early.
