Consumer Sentiment Dips but Near Multi-Year High

Ann Arbor, MI, June 14, 2013 -- The Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan June preliminary consumer sentiment index fell to 82.7 from a final reading of 84.5 in May.

Economists expected no change in the survey.

The May reading was the highest in nearly six years and the second highest in the last eight months.

Survey director Richard Curtin said confidence fell the most in low-income households.
