Consumer Confidence Sinks in August

New York, NY, Aug. 28, 2012 --  Consumer confidence hit a nine-month low in August, according to the Conference Board.

According to the survey, Americans are concerned about the job market and general business conditions.

The Conference Board said its confidence index dropped to 60.6 from 65.4, marking the lowest level since last November.

Economists had forecast the index to rise slightly to 66.0.
