Consolidated Carpet Discusses Challenge of Competition in WSJ Article

New York, NY, June 1, 2015—An article in Sunday’s edition of the Wall Street Journal detailed the current challenge of New York’s Consolidated Carpet in competing with non-union shops that undercut the business’ prices. 

The family-owned company—currently run by David Meberg, grandson of one of the company founders—has expanded both its territory and offering as a result, adding hardwood and finished concrete to its service list.

In addition, it tries to educate customers about the benefits of working with union shops.
