Cersaie Exhibition Space Sold Out Three Months Prior to Show

Sassuolo, IT, July 15, 2016—The entire 156,000 square meters of Cersaie's exhibition area has already been sold out, three months prior to the show, which will run September 26 to 30.

At the main entrance to the Cersaie’s Exhibition Centre, next to the Quadriportico, Area 49 will be hosting an important series of events, running throughout the exhibition.

For its fifth edition, Città della Posa will be hosting the EUF Workshop on 27 and 28 September, at which 20 tile installers from around Europe, divided into five mixed teams, will demonstrate the laying of “Thin XXL Panels” (handling, cutting, laying and maintaining thin large size panels), creating complex installations on the basis of technical drawings under the supervision of Peter Goegebeur, the Flemish ceramics master and president of the EUF Technical Commission.

One large area will be occupied by Assoposa (the National Association of Ceramic Tile Installers), whose ceramics masters will be demoing large and thin formats and indoors and outdoors coverings for all visitors to Cersaie.

On September 26, 29 and 30, Assoposa will create an architectural structure covered in ceramics, to illustrate the enormous versatility of ceramics in construction and architectural applications.

In the afternoons of the same days, architects and designers will be able to attend a series of four-hour seminars on laying techniques. Attendance at the seminars constitutes four instructional credits recognized by the National Council of Architects. The meetings will also enable professional visitors to see and touch for themselves the works in progress in Area 49.

On the afternoon of September 28, Area 49 will be hosting a more spectacular event. The forty strong Coro Stelutis choir, from Bologna will be singing popular work songs: work on the installations will stop during the event so as not to spoil the beauty of the music.
