Carpetland Carpet One Receives Honor for Contribution to Injured Soldiers

Milford, OH, June 26, 2015—Carpetland Carpet One Floor & Home received a piece of fallen World Trade Center steel for its contribution of flooring for 46 homes to the Building for American’s Bravest campaign, reports Fox 19.

The campaign raises funds to build smart homes for catastrophically injured service members.

Carpetland, a member of Carpet One Floor & Home, along with manufacturing partner Mohawk Flooring, committed to provide flooring materials and installation for 46 smart homes, and Carpet One stores are trying to raise funds to build at least two more homes through an in-store, $10 donation program.

Members of the fire department of New York City presented the store with a specially-designed shadowbox containing 9/11 steel from Ground Zero.
