Stoddard, NH, Feb. 27, 2013 -- Carlisle Wide Plank Floors is looking to expand its workforce by 17% this year, mostly in sales and manufacturing, according to a Woodworking Network story.
Carlisle has 83 total employees, with 41 in its Swanzey, N.H. mill.
An increase in consumer spending has demand for flooring and housing renovations on the upswing, Carlyle CEO Michael Stanek told the network.
Carlisle increased its headcount by 5% in January.
The company also said last summer it would add retail outlets in China market.
In a Q&A, Stanek said the firm has enhanced its ability to make premium engineered flooring, increased its capacity in prefinished products, and is opening a show room in Boston this spring.
