Business Economists Predict Fastest Growth Since 2005

Washington, DC, Dec. 8, 2014 -- Business economists say the U.S. economy should see its fastest growth in a decade next year, thanks to a stronger job market and falling oil prices.

The National Association for Business Economics has forecast that gross domestic product will grow by 3.1% next year, which would be the strongest growth since 2005 when the economy grew 3.3%.

NABE President John Silvia said NABE also believes that inflation will remain tame next year, with consumer prices growing 1.7%.
