Beaulieu of America Claims Mohawk Infringes Healthy Home Trademark

Dalton, GA, July 24, 2015—Beaulieu of America claims that Mohawk Industries has infringed on its trademarked Healthy Home mark and has filed civil action in U.S. District Court in Rome, Georgia, according to WRGA Rome.

Beaulieu claims that Mohawk is currently using the term “Healthy Home” as a trademark in connection with carpets, advertising that its carpets are “Healthy Home Certified” or part of Mohawk’s “Healthy Home Certified Program.”

Beaulieu contends the terms are confusingly similar to the Healthy Home mark that it has been using since 2008.

Beaulieu is asking for a jury trial and is seeking a judgment against Mohawk permanently enjoining and restraining them from using any logo that infringes on its Healthy Home mark.

Beaulieu is also seeking monetary damages, including attorney’s fees and costs, along with punitive damages.
