Armstrong Names Kroger Recycler of the Year

Lancaster, PA, April 10, 2014 -- Armstrong World Industries said it has named The Kroger Co. as its 2013 Flooring Recycler of the Year.

The Armstrong award recognizes organizations that made significant environmental contributions by recycling VCT materials during demolition projects; resulting in waste reduction in landfill materials, transportation, and energy.

Kroger received the award because of its efforts to reclaim vinyl composition tile from multiple stores throughout the U.S. last year by participating in the Armstrong Reclamation Program.
