Bologna, Italy, Sept. 16, 2010--Cersaie, the international exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings, will be held Sept. 28-Oct. 2 in Bologna.
The show will feature 1,037 exhibitors in 176,000 square meters of exhibit space. Abougt 85,000 people are expected to attend.
Conference headliners include designers David Childs, Karim Rashid, Enzo Mari, Mario Botta, Michele de Lucchi, and Natalie de Vries.
Style trends that reflect the 1960s are making a big comeback. In the tile world, hard surfaces include masculine stripes, delicate fabrics and muted metallics. In addition, the natural environment continues to influence design. Slim format tiles are also becoming more popular.
sustainability will also be a prominent issue at the show. For example, many Italian tiles manufacturers are using a closed-loop process that recycles 100% of raw material and water wastes back into the production cycle.
