ASID Announces 2015 National Award Winners

Washington, DC, April 6, 2015—The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has announced the recipients of the 2015 ASID National Awards, which recognize outstanding members of the design community who demonstrate an unyielding commitment to advancing the profession and harnessing the power of design to transform lives.

Sonya Dufner, director of workplace strategy at Gensler New York, was recognized with the Designer of Distinction award; William D. Browning, co-founder of design firm Terrapin Bright Green, was recognized with the Design for Humanity award; Wayne Ruga, founder of the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo, The Center for Health Design and the CARITAS Project, was recognized with the Design Innovation award; and Lisa Marie Tucker, design educator and chair of the Virginia Tech’s interior design program, was recognized with the Nancy Vincent McClelland Merit award.
